UT - business (no honors) vs. William & Mary

ok, so i have two choices University of Texas or William & Mary. i really wanted to go northeast but got rejected from schools up there (ivies and what not), so since that dream is crushed, i can either stay in Texas or just go east coast. I was just mainly wondering how well-known/prestigious W&M is... and is it worth paying the extra $15k to go there (money isn't that big of an issue since parents are paying but its still $15k).

Also, im waitlisted for UVA, and i was wondering what my chances are of getting in. plus its comparison to W&M...cuz as of right now, i think i like UVA more than W&M

some of my views:
so UT has a good business school, even though i didn't get in the honors, it's still good nonetheless, but im not really sure if i wanna do business, so W&M might be good for this point w/ the business program that you apply for end of soph year (gives me 2 years to decide if i really wanna do business). also W&M apparently has a pretty crappy sports grade, so maybe the competition to join intercollegiate team is less so i can join the intercollegiate track team? cuz im just decent not really really fast...

sorry if this is long, first post =)

actually W&M has a pretty darn good track team. They tend to be good in the non revenue sports. They actually made the semifinals in 1 AA football about 3 seasons ago.

Reputation is really good at W&M, especially if you aren't sure of your major. It has really small class sizes, and professors teach all classes.

Totally different feel than UT, but...depends on what you are looking for

W and M severed official ties with the British in 1776, and we like to insult them...

why dont u go party with brian - o wait, hell be at AandM every weekend

bump bump bump

more ideas... =)

also, W&M is more of an ideal size, i don't really like big schools like UT. as for the track team, i've seen the stats and stuff, they are pretty good mainly longer distance stuff, i was thinking of running the 400m.

what exactly is the party scene like at W&M? i mean i heard it's more studying and everything but im sure there's a bit of partying too =)

Party at the frat houses, not much else, at least there wasn't back in the day when I went there.

Try going to the college section and post your questions in the William and Mary section, you can get lots of good advice from current students.

It definitely has a liberal arts college feel to it due to its smaller size of 6000 undergrads

bump bump bump
