<p>I applied in October and heard back about two weeks later. I wonder when I will hear back from my honors programs. I applied to Plan II, College of Liberal Arts Honors, and College of Natural Sciences Honors.</p>

Rank: Top 4% …highly regarded high school nationally
Test Scores: 1900 </p>
<p>I believe my essays were really strong and I received positive feedback from classmates, teachers, and counselors, so I’m not being too biased. My extracurriculars were average, but my transcript and strong essays were definitely what pulled me through. </p>
<p>Tip for future applicants: DO NOT BLOW OFF THE ESSAYS even if you’re an auto-admit. The essays can go a long way since it really shows the officers what you’re passionate about and what you want to do with your life. And obviously, test scores and class rank are the most important parts of the application. </p>
