UT Dallas AES Class of 2022

@ProRazor Hahaha you’re right! All I knew was that it was the last day of November!

@ProRazor @Orange117 Do you know if they go in order with admission date and if i was admitted before, shouldn’t I receive the news before if I get it? I desperately want the distinction scholarship but now I am quite sure I won’t because I got accepted on November 10 and didn’t receive anything. I have a 3.9 GPA with AP / Dual credit classes, top 4% in rank, lots of extracurricular / leadership positions and good recommendations but a SAT of 1300. I probably didn’t or won’t get it because of my SAT score.

@Pro1234 I would call and ask. Test scores are huge, and I feel like that is your biggest setback, as everything else looks good. Have you taken the ACT? My SAT was less than average for the award but I got my ACT to the previous year’s average. Maybe if you take it and send a higher score, you’ll get something. I found ACT to be easier than SAT. I hope that helps.

Admitted 11/20, SAT 1430, RANK 45/198, GPA (weighted) 3.7. Awarded AES Achievement + 2000 per semester .

I’m still waiting for it, heard it might take 2-3 days to update. It still shows " Award access not available" under Accept/Decline Awards .
PS: I’m an international student. Accepted on 11/30/17

@Simon88 You already received your AES? Do you know anyone who hasn’t gotten into AES yet, but has the stats for it?

@Orange117 How did you get notified? Did you get a call, email or did you just check on Galaxy?

@Pro1234 I checked galaxy. I haven’t recieved an email or letter.

@Orange117 congrats! I’m guessing you will receive a letter in the mail soon. My son got a nice letter a week or so after the award was posted in his Galaxy portal.

@Shadowsych I have the stats for it but haven’t gotten yet. I’m an international though. Also what do you see in Accept/Decline awards in the portal.

Anyone else get AES for applying in November yet? I’m still waiting to hear back and starting to get nervous.

@Donald24 All November recipients have been notified. They had a notice on the website before the break.

@itsgettingreal17 No, even now the notice says that all recipients admitted prior to November 1st has been notified and they’re currently reviewing applicants from November. Where did you see that all November recipients have been notified?

@Pro1234 @Donald24 Looks like only in-state students have received notifications so far. What does it say under Accept/Decline awards for you guys in portal?

@ProRazor They go by admission date. So right now they’re reviewing both instate and out of state students admitted in November.

@Pro1234 Well…Just hoping I get achievement at least :frowning: Good Luck man

Yup! This semester was a hell. Really stressed about it. @ProRazor What major you wanna study?

@Pro1234 Computer Science :stuck_out_tongue: you?

Accounting @ProRazor

Cool! @Pro1234 Let us know if you get any update regarding AES
