Yay congrats! Happy to hear that :))
Did she recieve an email stating she was accepted or saying that a change in her portal had been made?
No email. She checked her portal this morning and saw the change in application status.
When would Collegium Honors decisions be announced, typically? How many students typically get into it?
The website says that Collegium V will begin to be notified in early March.
have any international applicants got their AES scholarship notification? (who got their decision in Feb)
No. I got my decision on 11th feb but didnāt get AES scholarship. I even approached my AO and he said that my application was submitted after the priority scholarship deadline of Dec 1 and thatās why I was not considered for the scholarship.
My daughter applied in Oct and received her AES mid December.
does anyone have information on the different award levels/amounts of AES?
Is there a possibility to change major after being accepted to a particular major?
The usual awards are $3,000 to $16,000 per year. There seem to be about $2-4K increments: $3K, $6K, $10K, $13K, $16K. There are no additional stipends anymore for AES, unless you count the $16K which exceeds tuition by around $1K.
To change majors after admission, they will need to make the request through an academic advisor. I would reach out to an advisor for the new major and ask about the process.
@moonmomma9 thank you. Will ask my son to check.
Any thoughts on typical outcomes of AES reconsideration requests? For both type of requests - reconsideration requests from those who have not gotten any AES award AS WELL AS reconsideration requests from those who have gotten some AES, but want to receive a higher tier AES award?
I donāt think thereās any way to know. The AES pages have always said that awards were final, and I wouldnāt be surprised if this was the first year they even reconsidered awards. My guess is it depends on how far off they are from their yield targets.
How will they know before May 1st about how far are they from their yield targets?
Maybe they would look at the percentage of students accepting offers of admission by this point in time in years past vs. the current admission cycle to try and predict how far off they may be from achieving their yield targets if they donāt sweeten the pot. Could be they have completely different motives for taking AES appeals. Itās all just guessing.
Is the website down for anyone else?
Supposedly Galaxy will be down until Monday.
Oh ok thanks for the info!
