UT Dallas Class of 2027 - Admission Discussion

My daughter just got admitted to the School of Engineering and Computer Science. She is a high stat review admit (not top 10%). Applied in the first half of August. Question: should we go ahead and pay the housing fee ASAP or it doesn’t make any difference in terms of room choice and availability?
