UT Econ (no aid) vs UTD JSOM Finance (full ride)

Son has been accepted at UT Dallas JSOM with full ride as NMS finalist and in UT ECON (no aid). I have heard that UT ECON offers BEOP to get Finance minor at McCombs.
Finance is his main interest though he likes ECON too.

He is torn between the two mainly from overall experience and career outcome standpoint.
UTD has a good business school and is giving full aid while UT has a great brand and ECON is decent and can do minor at McCombs.

Need to decide in 10 days. Please advise.

What’s the issue - is it cost?

You can apply to U Tulsa or U of Alabama (til May 1) - both will be fine - and do finance. And get the National Merit deals.

Econ isn’t finance. What is he looking for outcome wise?

Where does he feel best? Two different type schools.

Ultimately, I’d study what i want. The “brand” gives no guarantee.
