Hi, I'm a cap student at UTSA about to transfer into the UT engineering school next fall. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on how much more difficult UT will be than UTSA, especially the math and physics classes. I plan to have a 4.0 by the end of my first year, so UTSA obviously wasn't that difficult. Could anyone maybe give a conversion of a UTSA gpa to a UT one?

The average GPA of freshmen engineering students is about a 2.7 and then it moves up to the 3.2 range for seniors. Much of the math and physics courses here are weed out courses so they’re difficult but you’ll be alright as long as you study. Just don’t pressure yourself into getting a 4.0.

It will probably considerably more difficult than UTSA.

yikes. I guess its not one of the top engineering universities in the nation for nothing.

My friend who transferred from UTSA to UT told me that UTSA was just a continuation of high school but much easier. Just be prepared and do your work! You should be fine!
