UT honours decision still pending?

Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone else is still waiting on their UT honours decision. I applied for engineering honours and still have not received a decision back. I am thinking that I got rejected, but I just wanted to confirm with others.

I did apply pretty late (like right before deadline), making my chances slimmer than they already were, but they should send out decisions anyways, correct? I assumed that decisions would be out by 1 April, 2007, but I am still waiting.

Oh, yeah. I was accepted into my first choice major of electrical engineering in February. The application for regular UT was also completed fairly late (not quite as late, but the transcripts -- the stuff I had no control over -- took forever to get to UT; the rest of the stuff was in way earlier).

Anyways, thank you and take care.

Regards,

Ds received his letter a week or more ago. He had asked the office about decisions, and the lady emailed him to say that the guy who decides had been out-of-town, but would be back the next day to finish going through aps. DS got a letter two days later saying that he was accepted into the program.

Hey,

my details are almost exactly like TheEvenPrime2, except for the fact that my regular decision material was sent in on time. I too have not received my honors decision, and reading anxiousmom's reply, i guess i'm gonna write to UT and find out what's happening.

tc hve fun

Just to clarify, my UT regular application was finish before the deadline, just fairly late in terms of it.

Thank you for your replies.

Any further comments would be welcome.

Just fyi, when I went to the longhorn roundup in early march, they suggested that EE majors shouldn't even bother with Honors since EE is essentially honors. Plus there might not even be enough classes for you to take to classify you as honors.

I got accepted into engineering honors on I think March 2 and I applied about a week before the February 1 deadline. My friend that applied on February 5, after they pushed back the deadline, was rejected about 2-3 weeks ago so I think if they rejected you, they would send you a letter like they did to my friend. Since you didn't get a letter yet, they're probably/most likely still considering you. Good luck! and I hope this helped lol.

Oh yeah, similar to what foxshox said, engineering itself is like honors so don't sweat it if you don't get in, it's extremely difficult to begin with.

Great.
Thank you for your replies.
