This change applies to all students who are currently a Junior in High School or will be attending UT beginning Fall 2009
.
You will need to apply for admission with The University of Texas at Austin before you can apply to live on campus. This means that you will apply for admission using the ApplyTexas Application. When you have completed the admissions process and your application status page indicates that your application is complete, you will be able to apply to live on campus.

Your UT application status must be complete before you can apply for housing. The housing contract and room assignment processes will continue to use the housing application date to determine your priority.

oh, i thought thats how it was lol. guess not!

This is much better than the current system! Thanks!

I personally think that there is little difference as it rewards kids who are on the ball.

It will also likely lead to an influx of kids sumbitting an incomplete TCA and then sending in the missing stuff later, just so statuscheck will say "complete."

I received my acceptance letter before I even sent in essays. Had I not been applying for Plan II, I never would have.

Will people who act as I did get contracts early?

Housing contracts are offered when students pay their enrollment deposit. Students who pay early do receive their housing contract early. By early, I mean November...December.
