I have only visited Jester East, but was given a room in Jester West. Ive heard that in Jester West they have the "bed/couch" beds.Is it worth buying a twin comforter set for the dorms in Jester West?

Well yeah it’s basically a pull out bed. You pull it out and there is more surface area to sleep on, and you push it in, and there is way less surface area so you can just sit on it.

You’re gonna need a sheet set (don’t get anything uber nice) and probably a comforter and a mattress pad. That’s all you’ll pretty much need. I lived in Jester East all last school year, and they beds suck but I didn’t mind them at all. After a long day, all you want to do is crash, anywhere.

Hook Em’

I stayed in Jester West last summer and I don’t see why you couldn’t use one of those comforter sets on the sofa beds.

I’ve searched the Internet for pictures, videos, anything that might help me decorate my dorm room (Jester West) but havent found a thing!!!

Is there any room between desk or shelving that might allow you to slide a headboard to make the room appear “homey”?

Does anyone have the measurements for the window seal edge? The underside spacing between the 2 desks?

Upon viewing the housing virtual tour video for Jester , I wondered if all the dorm room have the exact same layout (Jester West), especially the floors that share the community showers?

And can anyone tell me if you can control the thermostat in Jester W? #penguinprobs

If i remember correctly the size of the beds are a twin xl so be careful when shopping. And all that stuff will fit on there as long as you leave your bed/couch in bed position. In regards to the thermostat, for Jester West there is one thermostat for every like four or five rooms.

Was there any spacing what-so-ever been the walls/desk to slip a twin headboard though? Or is it a tight fit, that only allows you to push and pull the bed?

I keep hearing that the furniture in Jester West is non-movable. Does that literally mean that the beds are connected to the ground? Could the legs of the beds be slightly lifted up so that a rug could fit underneath? Also, is there ANY space for storage under the beds?

…I’m clueless.

Storage under the beds for like boxes is a yes. But the beds are not moveable. They are pull out–so there are no “legs.”

FYI…I just recently found out that Jester West has built in drawers under the sofa/bed that can used for storage.
