What of my chances of getting into these schools?

i am a junior in high school so i haven't taken my AP tests yet. And on the sports i just put varsity and captain because i have already talked to my coach and he has verified those things will happen.

Essays: lets just say my essays will be pretty good

They’re changing the 10% rule to Top 8%. I’d say match for UT, on account of automatic state admissions… If you’re grades are good enough, you’ll probably make UT if it’s your first choice…

UT-match
USC-medium/low reach (need to boost those CR scores; plus they allow Score Choice)
NYU-low reach (same as USC…maybe add some community service, perhaps?)

You should be able to get into McCombs pretty easy. IIRC they do freshmen acceptance solely based on class rank. So being in the top 1% will get you in.

I am in the same boat as you somewhat… we are applying to the same schools! haha… As 1314 Internal mentioned starting with the class of 2015 (Us Current Juniors in High School Now) UT Austin is chaning the 10% rule to 8% rule but since you are ranked 7 you should be perfectly fine for guaranteed admission for UT …

UT Austin - Safety
USC - Low Match (as internal said it doesn’t hurt to do some comm service hours if you don’t have any)
NYU - Match (29 is the minimum ACT score Accepted but your SAT should Cushion it- Essay is vital!)

I have a couple of friends that applied to NYU and got in… the main key is not the standardized test scores but your essay! As long as you have a killer essay you will be fine!

Did you happen to take any AP Tests and score 3-5? My brother goes to UT Austin at Cockrell School of Engineering and you should be elegible to get some money since two of your siblings go there…

Please Chance me! I would like to hear from you!:
