I applied to Virginia Tech RD and didn't fill out the optional 200 word essay. I know this will effect my chances of acceptance, but I was wondering if you think I'll still get in? Thanks a lot..

haha, yea I'm automatically into U. of Vermont cause I'm in state, and I'm applying to UConn, Clemson and U. of Rhode Island, but I really do NOT want to go there.

I'd say your chances are about 50/50, so it would be advisable to write the damn essay. How difficult is 200 words?! Call up the admissions office and ask how to send it in.

BTW, you just missed the top 20% in class rank. Unfortunately, if they are using 20% as a cut-off in ranking applications, closeness means nothing.

If the VT website gives me a e-mail address and just says:

If you have already submitted your application and payment has been authorized, notify us of any necessary changes by emailing appchange@vt.edu. DO NOT create a new account and submit a secondary application with changes. No refunds will be given for secondary application fees.

should I just email them my essay, and say that it is the essay fro my application? Or do you think it's just for changing your address or something?
