I am curious how likely I am to get any scholarship money from UT. I have a 1460 SAT, a 35 ACT, a class rank of 9/~400, and a GPA of 4.4. Previously, I have been President and Parliamentarian of my class, as well as an active member in Student Council. I was also in the top choir, and now am on the Mayor’s Youth Council and serve as VP of NHS. I am a National Merit Commended Scholar, as well as an AP Scholar with honor, and by the time I graduate will have finished 13 AP courses. Also, I don’t know how scholarships from TAMU compare to UT, but I recieved $3,000 a year to TAMU, plus an additional one time $2,000. So far, all I know is I’ve gotten accepted to McCombs, and my financial aid package only contains loans.
UT merit scholarship is very competitive.
If you have not gotten any freshmen or business school scholarship from UT, I think you are unlikely to receive any.
What is your family income like? Which high school are you in?
Have those scholarships already been released? My family income is roughly 95,000. I go to a Texas high school.
TexasExes Scholarship will not be released until May. Most merit scholarships at UT should have been given by now.
Is your high school a top/feeder high school for UT?
What scholarship did you receive from TAMU?
My high school is not a “top/feeder” school for UT. I received the President’s Endowed from TAMU. @CertifiedCC
