Hello everyone I am planning on transferring from ACC to UT’s Computer Science program during the 2016 spring window.
You don’t have to tell me how overpopulated and competitive the CS program is I already know.
This is my first semester in college (Graduated last summer)
GPA: 4.0
Earned credits: 31
By end of this semester: 43
High AP Scores
Internship experience in programming
More than enough EC’s(ALOT)
2 recommendation letters
Taking Chem, Calc, Comp Sci, and other classes atm
I could expand all those but i’m sure you guys have seen how long they can be.
All in all would like your honest chances. THANKS A LOT for the read!
I don’t see anything that would hurt you. I don’t know how you can do better than a 4.0 with experience in the field.
I assume you have looked at this page:
https://cns.utexas.edu/students/future/external-transfer#competitive-admission-standards
It appears they really like candidates who can transfer in and still get out on time.
You may want to contact them about a change in policy for the Spring semester CS transfers.
Read this in another thread:

Hope it all works out.
Thanks a lot for the posts!
@bookmom7 Yes I was informed about this and I called them because I had already replied. They said it was a glitch in the system and said Spring 2016 admission will still be open for CS!
More feedback will be helpful as I am needing to see if there is anything else I need thanks a lot
There was a glitch in letting you apply but as the website says they won’t be admitting anyone for Spring. There’s no spaces for transfer until next Fall
Has anyone gotten a decision yet for Spring 2016? Does anyone know when they will be posted?
Yes, I’ve seen a few posts from applicants admitted for spring 2016 as well as some for fall 2016. Admission office says Transfer students should get decision by 1st week of Dec.
