I am currently working on a Bachelor of arts in political science, however, I want to transfer to UT Austin. My gpa isnt that great – its a 3.5. I am a decent writer so I am not worried too much about the essay part of the application. I am just wondering if I even stand a chance. I will have completed most of my basics by next spring, which is when I plan to transfer. I’ll be an in-state transfer. I have a 3.5 GPA, about 20+ community service hours, I play in the university’s symphony, and I’ve had a part time job for 7 months. I am also Hispanic (idk if that will help in the application process). Now I know my resume isn’t THAT impressive. Is there any other good schools in Texas that offer good polisci classes? Thanks
