I'm freshman undergraduate student in Texas A&M. I'm thinking about transfering to UT austin. I have currently taking 12hours of credits. i know that i need 30 hours at least to transfer. So i have ap credits which i changed in 17 hours of classes and all the classes are transferable to Ut austin. and i'm planning to get 24 hours of classes in texas a&m. I was wondering if i get gpa from 24 hrs of classes and got 3.5 gpa then does it mean admission will give me lower chance than people who has 30 hrs of classes with 3.5 gpa? or do admission doesnt care?
Do they care about high school grade? because i have 3.2 gpa and 1780 sat. but i think i can get 3.5 gpa in this college.

Also does computer science in UT gives more chances than other majors? because i heard department of natural science has a higher chances to get in.

I think that UT is really strict that you must have 30 hours of transferable credit before you enter UT. If you will only have 24 hours, I don’t think they will consider your application unless you will meet the 30 hours before you enter.

Natural Sciences is one of the tougher schools to transfer into. If you are looking for the easiest school to transfer into there is UGS, followed by Liberal Arts, and then Education. Fine Arts also has a higher number of acceptances, but it is very specialized in its admissions.

i already have 17 hours of credits from ap credits. Do i have chances to get in natural science with 3.5 gpa and 3.2 gpa in high school and 1780 sat score?
