I am really wanting to start college at UT San Antonio, then transfer to UT Austin. I want to start at a smaller school, and I want to be able to use more of my AP scores which are accepted at UTSA, but not UT. How hard will it be to transfer to UT after my first year, if my grades are good? Our career center advised me that it is hard to transfer. I am going into the college of communications. I don't want to lose my AP credits, but at the same time, I don't want to end up not being able to get into UT. As a graduating senior, I am in the top 4% with SAT score of 1750.
Thanks!

I live in San Antonio and I hear from a ton of people who go to UTSA and then transfer to UT or other schools but a bunch just stay at UTSA as well

It is not difficult at all to transfer to UT from another college. I am also a transfer student that is going to attend UT this fall after spending 1 year at UTA and got into cockrell. If you keep your GPA high, you will get in for sure.

Look into automatic transfer admission…
