UT -v- VT ?

Hi :) Right now I'm trying to make a decision on the above, University of TN Knoxville and Virginia Tech. Can anyone give me info on what either/both of them are like, particularly the social side as right now I'm at a school where everyone goes home on weekends except the exchange students and I don't recommend it! I know both are pretty good schools (open to correction if I got that wrong!). I'm a History major, minoring in Political Science. Thanks!

I was accepted to and have already enrolled in UT. I think it's a great school that has a lot to offer.

Have you visited UT before? If not, the campus is great. It's got the mixture of flat and hilly down, trees everywhere, and an overall homey feel to it.

I've been there quite a few times and to me it seems that they have a little bit of everything when it comes to the social scene. So whatever your into, I'm sure you can find.

I'm sure some students go home on the weekends, but I know during football season many of them stay on weekends with home games and go to those. I don't know if your into that sort of thing.

I don't really know anything about VT, but all I can say is give UT a fair chance. It's a great school (in my opinion).

And just on another note, I'm majoring in Politcal Science and minoring in History. Thought that was kind of interesting.

If you have anything else you would like to know, feel free to ask, I'll try and help. =D

Thanks!

I've been to the Knoxville campus before and didn't really like it when I was there, plus my ex fiance goes there and I'd rather not see him every day for the rest of college so that's why I bumped VT up the list. I haven't been to VTs campus but it looks amazing from their website and other friends I know who have been there have said its awesome. Because both are good schools and I don't have a specific reason for picking either it's making the choice really hard!
