<p>zlc - thanks for the band information. I’m going to pass it on to my son. Our band was pretty competitive too…made a hard run at State, barely missed the cut at Area (shocked a lot of people). It was a pretty grueling year, so I think that is why he seems a little disinterested. And he is still competing with indoor competition schedule kicking off this weekend, and an upcoming individual scholarship competition and recital next week. Having a little bit of burnout I think. A nice long break over summer and he may be ready to go at it again. And I’d love it he became a member of the Longhorn band. :)</p>
<p>Is anyone going to the VIP session in NYC? I got the invite a little while back but chose to try registering today. The deadline is the 9th, but they were already full (kinda strange since I didn’t think that many students from the northeast applied or were in proximity of NYC to attend). Will there be any future events in NYC? What’s generally the agenda at these VIP sessions?</p>
