Although I am an auto-admit at both schools, UT’s direct BSN program is much more desirable. However, I’m unsure of my chances in being accepted into the major. Would it be wiser to attend A&M under Allied Health (Accepted) and apply to their program after two years? How possible is it to major in something else at UT and transfer into Nursing later on? And if that’s not too unattainable, should I do undergrad or a closely-related major? Sorry for my back-to-back questions, I’m just really conflicted on what my better (and less stressful) option would be. I’d appreciate any answers/advice, thanks in advance!
My daughter is a freshman at UT-Nursing. Maybe she can answer some of your questions directly. I also have a son who just graduated from A& M - I love both schools. A&M’s nursing program will be top notch in a few years - but it’s really just getting started. The nursing building is not near campus either. If you think you’ve got a shot with direct entry at UT - it’s the way to go!
