UT vs Georgia Tech in CS and other stuff

<p>Hey CC,</p>

<p>College decision season has ended and I'm finalizing college decisions. However, I'm having a lot of trouble. Both schools seem to have their pros and cons and I'm having trouble deciding which one I Think will be more worth it. I've visited both campuses and they both have great feels. </p>

<p>Here's just a quick list of my current perceived benefits of both colleges. Tell me what you think!</p>

<p>UT:
Austin > Atlanta in most ways
More girls
seemingly better social situation
I have friends at UT
in-state tuition
more flexibility in terms of course scheduling</p>

<p>GaTech:
GaTech campus > UT Campus.
Seemingly better prestige.
Less humanities classes
CS Threads seem pretty cool.
Less competition for girls ;)</p>

<p>I should clarify what I mean by course scheduling. Looking at the curriculums for both schools, I would think that UT is a lot less punishing if you want to say switch majors or something in the middle of school.</p>

<p>UT Austin is well respected in CS, so if you are in the CS major or can declare it without a high internal admissions barrier, it seems like the obvious choice for an in-state student compared to an out-of-state public school at list price.</p>
