Its hard to decide...Which is a better school University of Texas: mccobs school of business or Indiana University: Kelley school of business... i have been accepted into kelley and have been accepted into UT but as a undecided major.. Which school would be better?

this is a no brainer. absolutely mccombs. texas has one of the largest endowments in the country and since mccombs is ut’s flagship college they pour money into it as fast as they can. the amount of resources i have as a mccombs student is unmatched by any undergrad business program in the country. recently the faculty here was ranked 1st for business schools and us news has us 6th overall. not only is ut known as one of if not the biggest party school in the country (not something to be ashamed of in my opinion) but as a mccombs student you get one of the best educations in the country aswell. however what truely sets mccombs apart is that unless you fail your classes you will graduate with a job, theyll make damn sure of that. my very first semester in mccombs i landed a 14k internship for the upcoming summer. i can honestly say i dont know of a single major company in any industry that doesnt recruit here. during recruiting season, every day there are multiple companies visiting to meet mccombs students and talk to them about opportunities. i havent even started on the alumni network yet. needless to say, with 50k current students, you’d have a hard time finding a company without multiple fellow longhorns who are more than willing to help you out. also as a business student, why on earth would you not want to live in one of the fastest growing cities, in the fastest growing state? since mccombs is by far the top business school in texas you have priority over everyone else

Those are all valid points–though many of them could be said for Kelley as well. I think you answered the wrong question though. The OP is not choosing between Kelley and McCombs, but rather between Kelley and a possibility of attending McCombs in the future.

If you go to UT and get a 3.5 freshman year and are denied from McCombs, you don’t really have any viable options. Transferring universities when you’re studying business is very difficult because of the way the curriculum is set up most places.

ok thanks, and also I am an out of state student
