Which one would you go? Looking at US News ranking Penn State is slightly better but UT seems have more prestige.

they are both great schools!!
we really can’t decide for you, but either way you will get a great shot at an amazing institution!
congrats btw…if you already got accepted to both

my daughter was accepted to both. She eliminated Penn St and chose Wisconsin. Then she ended up at UT after visiting it. It depends on what you want. Everyone loves Penn St. There is a reason they call it Happy Valley. My daughter thought she might get bored in the remote small college town. She fell in love with Austin. Loved the weather, the music scene, and 6th street. UT had a much better communication program.

You have to decide. I am sure you will be happy at both places.

Good Luck

Tanks a lot for all your positive replaies and feedbacks! I will try to do a campus vist and decide.

It depends on what you want from your college experience. I spent the first 20 years of my life in Pennsylvania before moving to Austin. Penn State is in the middle of nowhere…so you’ll spend all of your time on campus. UT is in the middle of Austin and you’ll be able to enjoy the city as well.
They’re both good schools…it really depends on the city you want to live in.

Where are you from? Pennsylvania has 6 months of winter. We always pretend there are 4 seasons but you have to expect a blizzard in late March from time to time. Texas feels like summer for 6 months and you have to expect 60 days of 100+ degree temps.

Good luck!
