UT vs UC Berkeley

I like many of you have come to a fork...

I got into UC Berkeley for my major of Pre-business on the pathway to Haas business school hopefully (most ppl from this major get in right?)

I also got into McCombs at UT austin as i am a texas resident

i wanna pursue finance or marketing but still not sure

but i am torn between the two..what are the pros and cons of each ie, academics, sports, lifestyle, girls, housing. etc.. LEMME KNOW!

Cal. leave Texas.
UT Austin is rank 47
Berkeley is rank 21 <a href="http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/t1natudoc_brief.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/t1natudoc_brief.php</a></p>

Hm, this is actually very difficult since you are accepted into McCombs, a fine business school. There is no guarantee you will get into Haas. The acceptance rate of those who apply is around 50%, but most of those entering as freshman who want to go to Haas don't bother applying because they have terrible GPAs in Haas' prerequisite classes (Math, Econ, Stat, UGBA 10).

Where in Texas are you from? It matters because unless you are from urban Texas both UT & Cal will be much different than what you're used to.

unless you are rich, UT is a no-brainer in-state. At $40k+ for OOS, the UCs are mighty expensive.
