UTD Application - In State Complex Int. Situation and Chance Me

Hi all,

I am currently an in-state resident in the state of texas with a 1500 SAT and a 4.13 GPA in my school putting me at approximately top 17%. I will be graduating from a Texas high school, however, I am on a dependant L2 visa that would require me (according to officials at UTD) to apply as an International Freshman. However, they said that I would be considered for in-state tuition and will be eligible for AES.
More Info on my Academics:- Have taken majority AP classes (only 2 honors last year out of 7), however, my GPA was affected because I transferred schools almost every year.

I wanted to know if my admission chances or AES chances will be affected because I am applying through the International Freshman apps rather than the citizen/perm. resident one.

And if you know the requirements for AES or admission, please chance me on UTD. My major is in Computer Science.

Thanks in Advance!

I do not think your chances for an AES scholarship will be affected by your residency. I also think you are highly likely to get an AES scholarship. It may only be $3000/semester but it will give you in state tuition. The next level of AES is full tuition plus $1000/semester. I also think you are competitive for that but it will depend on the strength of the other students who are applying. Do apply now because they will take into consideration your date of application when allocating the scholarships in December.
