Hi, I’m currently attending community college and I’m looking for a school that has a good Information System program. I’m planning to transfer for the spring semester of 2016 and I’m debating on attending these schools. My main choices are either UTD or UTSA. I’m not sure on how to approach which school has a better program and also if you know a more beneficial school feel free to propose the school(Must be in Texas).

UTSA is ranked #1 in the nation for cyber security which is housed with the information system department (within the college of business). I don’t know much about UTD but hopefully this gives you some insight.
Yeah that’s one of the plus of UTSA i found that i can major in Information System and minor in cyber security, but I’ve also seen that UTD business school looks better because of their high ranked business school. I haven’t been able to find any good information that i can compare from each school. I’m still on the fence line.
UTD’s business school is surely ranked higher than UTSA’s. With a good GPA you might even be able to do honors at UTD which would be much better than going to UTSA. I would recommend that you visit both schools and see which one you like more. From what I know about the two schools, neither one is going to give you the “college experience,” but it can’t hurt to check them out.
Well the thing is I’m not able to visit the campuses so that why i resorted to ask some forums and get some knowledge. UTD business does sound like the better pick since their business school is higher ranked, but i heard UTSA has a good Information System program and getting a minor in cyber security in the #1 cyber security school sounds like it’ll be really beneficial for my field.
I don’t believe you can actually minor in cyber security. The college of business at UTSA doesn’t offer a minor in all of the business disciplines.
