UTK Scholarships

Oh wow, only 1/4 got it?? Sounds like the competition is going to be tough.

Could you please explain what you mean by “releasing”? As in new scholarship opportunities?

I asked around today; 3 are finalists. The other person I don’t know well enough to ask, and she hasn’t said anything on Facebook.

and they haven’t sent letters for the 4-year big Chancellor’s scholarships yet.

I got my Chancellor’s letter well over 2 weeks ago. The reply was due last Friday, so that’s weird that you haven’t received the letter yet…

Not for the honors college, if that’s what you mean? I mean the Bonham Scholars, Holt Scholars, Neyland Scholars, Oldham Scholars, Tennessee Scholars, etc. I’m not going to UT, I’m going to Emory University, but I’m in Knoxville so 80% of my friends are. You know how they sent letters saying “sorry you werent selected for the 4-year scholarships blah blah blah” (we talked about it a few pages back)? My friend never got one of those, and she called the fin aid office on Monday about it. They said they aren’t sending out the letters until March 1 for those, if you got one.

I’m talking about the 4-year Chancellor’s scholarship. I don’t know much beyond that, honestly.

collegeinfo1994 - Which Chancellor’s scholarship did you receive?

Hmmm…maybe we’re talking about two different things. My letter simply congratulated me for “being selected as one of this year’s Chancellor’s Scholarship recipients at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.” It’s worth $5,000/year and there’s a day-long program for all recipients on February 24th or March 2nd(maybe that’s when we find out which scholarship exactly?), if that helps clarify anything.
