<p>I'm trying to come up with an e-mail address but I've always been very bad at coming up with usernames. Is it best if I keep my actual name to seem like a more "serious" student or should I make it creative like I so obviously want to? Does it actually matter? Am I way too nerdy to be seriously looking into this?</p>

<p>Yeah, what the above poster said. Conventional wisdom states that for a school email address, you use your name in some way.</p>
<p>Right, I get that, but I have the opportunity to use just my first name, my first name only but it doesn’t seem very professional although I know some people who have done that. So general wisdom is to have at least the last name?</p>
<p>Okay okay I won’t be difficult… I’ll put in my first initial and last name like the rest of the world.</p>
