I had really wanted to goto UT, but after I got capped, I sent in an appeal to UT (just yesterday I faxed it).

But if they still don't change their decision (highly probable), which college should I go to? A&M, Baylor, or UTSA(if it means going to UT the next year).

I'm not really sure, but I Want to major in comething computer-related. I'm in computer science for the first year, and I've already been named 'top computer science 1 student' out of about 120 students taking the class this year. I'm really good at contests. So I decided to major in computer science. I'm not really sure if that's helpful in the real world when finding a job, but it there's something else that's computer related, please tell me.

Anyways, which school should I go to?? Anyone have any insight on them that can help me learn a little more about them?

Note: And please, post about the schools or my question. Not to be mean or anything, I'm not, but the last time I posted asking for suggestions on something, people posted about something different.

crew - A 100% subjective answer: If it were me - I think I would go to Texas A&M. I've met a lot of Aggie grads over the years that work as systems professionals and they do very well in the job market. A degree from A&M is highly respected in the working world, esp. in TX. They also maintain a kind of fraternal bond after graduation which helps them in the business world.

I'm sure UT grads do just as well, but you only get one real shot at being a freshman in your life. It will be one of the most exciting, challenging and fun times of your life, and I just can't see spending it waiting in exile at UTSA. At your age, I would be ready to start my college experience now, not later.

These are the final 3 schools Im considering too, but Im really not considering Baylor too heavily. I was leaning toward UTSA a couple days ago, but I just dont know now. i was talking to one of my friends who goes to UNC Chapel Hill and was aksing him how frosh year was going, and he said it was the best year of his life, and that despite having very videogames, no cable, and no car, he hasn't missed any of them a bit. He said he's busy 24/7 and isnt even looking forward to summer break. Listening to him made me jealous, and made me want an experience like that NOW, and I know A&M is the most likely of the 3 for me to get it.

there's a reason why i'ts called wacko waco...and A&M is surrounded by farms..but they do have a nice chinese buffet though. other than that both schools are depressing to be at.
