Have you all visited? We just did Tulsa Time yesterday and really liked it.
My son was signed up for Tulsa Time until a week ago, but he ended up going to the UTD National Merit day yesterday (Monday) instead. He wasn’t super impressed with UT-Dallas, so I wish in retrospect he would have stuck with the Tulsa visit. I may try to get him out there in March, but that’s up to him.

We visited the Friday before Tulsa Time (could not make reasonable airfare happen for those days!) and liked it a lot. S23 says it’s his top choice right now (Maine being the other). I don’t think he can go wrong!
Any good info from Tulsa Time that we should know? I feel like we likely missed some details.
My biggest concerns: That it’s too sports-focused - the brief admissions presentation we attended focused on this and how many kids are recruited athletes, etc. My kid is an athlete (climbing) but not a rah-rah sports type.
Other concern is just culturally will a kid from a northern state/major urban area fit in/find his people?
Otherwise, it’s just beautiful, our meeting with a professor was so impressive, and I love the small school atmosphere/that so many kids live on campus. It would be so nice knowing that he is in a place where people know each other and care for each other.

I think they like their sports, but my child is not interested in sports and we had less concerns about a overly enthusiastic sports fan campus than some other schools we visited. I can’t promise about your son’s situation, but we are from a larger east coast metropolitan area and we loved Tulsa. Our tour guide was a senior from Chicago and of course raved about the school. The rest of Tulsa Time was tours, time to socialize with students, parent sessions, chance to interact with professors and the university president spoke to us. We had a great visit.
