topic....yea.....shut up.....

It stands for Liberal Arts College. It’s not your normal school where you tend to study almost completly in your major–You’re often required to take english, math, science, ect. not MATTER. your major, because they want you to “learn how to learn”.

[Liberal arts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Liberal arts education - Wikipedia) might help you understand more. :)

Liberal Arts Colleges don’t have graduate schools and huge research facilities or professional schools, so they are a smaller environment that’s obviously undergrad-focused.

I’m going to be attending Johns Hopkins this fall…is that a LAC?!

thanks for the help guys :)

lol, I guess not…

It has a liberal arts curriculum, but it’s a national university. My condolences ^_-

Los Angeles Clippers…you Clippers fan? They just got Baron Davis and Marcus Camby, plus Al Thornton and Chris Kaman, sick lineup.

Just a little correction to what boysenberry said-- LAC’s do have graduate schools. Often not as many as your “normal” university, but they do.

its funny that my first thought when i see LAC is actually the clippers – glad to know im not the only one sky haha

it also too me about 3 days to figure out what LACs were the first time i saw that acronym O_o
