@TheWaffleMan149 @jason922 every year it says January 31st, but they always let everyone know earlier if the decisions are complete. For the past 4 years it’s been released on a Friday so I am hoping for the 22nd or the 29th the very latest. Last year was the 23rd and the year prior was the 17th
My money is on release of the decisions Friday January 22 late in the afternoon/early evening. Second guess - Friday January 29.
They like to release decisions when you’ll have the weekend to absorb it.

@jason922 Yeah, I think they’re mainly thinking of the kids being rejected when releasing decisions on Fridays. 
School counselors have always pushed for notification to happen after the school day is over for everyone’s sake. Most schools try for an evening release and Fridays are popular because there’s a greater chance of a student being at home.
I would tend to believe there’s a greater chance of kids being home on a school night, not a weekend night… 
I hope my previous post made it clear that we don’t make these decisions in a vacuum. We spend a lot of time in high schools and are in regular contact with the counselors at our schools. Perhaps students who aren’t involved in school activities or jobs go straight home after school, though. We haven’t always released on a Friday (my blog spans 10 years, so it’s easy to look at the past cycles), but the feedback we get is that it works.

How far in advance is the decision day usually released?
I can usually get a “heads up” post up a few hours in advance of the release.
@renegade23 Just curious - does your portal still have that tab? It sounds like a quirk of SIS, but I guess you never know!
We should probably hear some sort of heads up about when decision day will be soon

@renegade23 This is an edit - just realized my actual computer tab does day “Accept Admission”. I assume this is just a weird quirk in the system, but would be interested to know if others all have this too. I just can’t wait for decisions to be released!!
@collegebound1915 my DD has it too. Decisions can’t come soon enough! Hopefully less than 2 weeks away
It is telling me that decisions are not yet available and to check back ON JANUARY 31
