After looking through the threads about UVa and SATs, it seems to me like UVa does superscore; is that correct? Right now I have a 2220 from my first SAT (with an 800 on CR). If I retake the SAT in the fall, will the CR score from the second test matter? I'm not planning on leaving the section blank or Christmas treeing it, but would it make a difference if I got a lower score outside the range of expected variation, especially if it was from a later test?

i wouldn't recommend that...

Pretend your an admission officer for a second. What would you think if you saw an 800 on a section one month followed by a 500 a few months later? Regardless of whether a school superscores or not, I imagine most people wouldn't be able to help noticing the inconsistency.

Try your very best.

If I take it again, I plan on trying my best and hopefully scoring an 800 again, or at least in the upper 700s. I was just wondering how the lower scores not part of the superscore are considered, if at all (besides extreme cases like the one posted above), especially if they are from a later test date.
