If you’re in state and your stats align with the published student profiles you have a very good chance.
GPA is kinda low, get SAT up to 1500 to have a high chance of admission. Good luck!
Would a 1450 be okay to try and get in? I was looking at stats for admission in state and the middle 50% accepted ranged from 1350-1490, so what do my chances look like right now w/o any further sat testing?
Many people have posted SAT scores in the 1500’s and said that they were not admitted. You can see by the middle 50 that you don’t need a 1500 to get accepted. You want to be in the middle 50 and do well in your classes compared to others in your school but your essay and teacher recommendations are very important. The people on the bottom end of the middle 50 who got in probably wrote very good essays that really showed who they were and got the attention of the admission staff. You can also see from the statistics that 95% of students were in the top 10% of their class so if your school ranks only 5% who got in were not in that 10%. Just fixating on a test score will not guarantee admittance. Do what you love and show a passion for it in your essays. Good luck.
