<p>I’d say you are a really competitive applicant and that your chances are even better by being in-state. I’d say UVA is a match for you.</p>

<p>I agree. I think that as an in-state student, you have an excellent shot at UVA.</p>

<p>I’m not sure why anyone would say you were a lock because you’re in state. I guess it depends where in VA you’re from because there have been many seniors with 4.0+ GPA’s and outstanding test scores and EC’s that have had their hearts broken by the University of Virginia while I’ve known some with around a 3.5 and 1800 and were accepted. You have a very good chance and are well qualified but with UVA’s random admissions nothing is a sure thing.</p>
