Britt…As you’ve been told, OOS for UVA is anyone’s guess. There were students last year who were waitlisted with a 2390/4.0 UW! That being said, my D got in with somewhat similar stats to you: she had 11 APs/1 DC, a 4.0 UW, 2250 SAT I, and 790/770 SAT IIs (a bit higher test scores); however, what she did NOT have was your legacy status that UVA most definitely considers. Consequently, I would say your chances are VERY, VERY good. Best of luck to you! She’s VERY happy with her decision.

Thank you so much!

bumpppp!!!

Wow you are right our stats are similar! I think you have a great chance, especially with all those subject tests. Have you spoken with the UVA alumni association?

yes i have and theyre very reassuring! have u met w ms garver? and is uva your top choice?

I THINK, that if you’re a legacy, you get put into the instate pile, but still would have to pay OOS tuition if you were to attend.

That is an I THINK, not 100% sure.

no youre correct! I am in the in state pool for admission

well then ur in haha =]

thank you! but still crossing my fingers:) uva is by far my first choice

considering you’re legacy (like others have said) i’d say you have a fairly good chance at getting in. however, from my school at least UVA is about as hard as Cornell in terms of acceptances. its really quite odd when you’re OOS…
