UVA Chances!!

<p>I love UVA, so I would like to see if you guys can chance me?</p>

<p>First off, I'm an out-of-state applicant and not a legacy. And I am white from a private school.</p>

<p>SAT: 1360/2070
CR: 690 M: 670 W: 710
SAT IIs: 700 on Spanish</p>

<p>I'm not sure what my unweighted gpa is, but weighted it's 3.96. So out of my 3 years in high school plus first quarter senior year, I've had all in the "a" range except for 2 B's junior year (one in an AP, one in a honors class).</p>

<p>AP's: Comparative Government, Spanish, and Lit (senior year); Bio and English (junior year); Gov (soph year)
...I've also taken the honors classes available in the courses I've taken.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
-Worked at a food company since summer going into junior year
-Softball: Varsity for 2 years, JV for 2 years
-Field Hockey: freshman team and then JV for one year
-President of Spanish Club
-Theater since junior year</p>

<p>Volunteer Work:
-Assistant Forensics Coach for a middle school
-An annual program for inner-city school children</p>

<p>I really like my common app essay, and so far I'm happy with my supplement drafts! I really think they are a strong point of my application.</p>

<p>Scores are a little low for an out-of-stater…EC’s look good, GPA?</p>

<p>gpa is 3.96 weighted. I’m not sure what it is unweighted but i think it’s a little less than 3.8</p>

<p>your score is about 100 points lower than mine but you have slightly higher grades. Our extracurriculars are similar, mine might be a bit better. I’m letting you know I’m applying to UVA this year as an out-of-state candidate despite the fact that my counselor is telling me I have virtually zero chance of getting in. In other words, I wouldn’t count on it.</p>
