UVA Chances?

Exactly what the thread title says. :) I'm open to suggestions for other schools too.

In-state
HS GPA: 3.98
SAT: 800V, 730M
SAT IIs: 780 Writing, 780 US History, 730 Math IIC
APs: 4 in French Lang, 5's in Psych, Comp Sci AB, Calc BC, US History, English Lit, English Lang, US Gov, Microeconomics
ECs: Girl Scouts, Model UN, volunteering tutoring, Sunday School teacher

Took two UVA classes during the summer semester after my sophomore year in high school.

Child Psychology - A
Principles of Microeconomics - A+

Currently a freshman at Duke University. Unless something goes horribly wrong with my finals, first semester GPA will be either a 3.925 or a 4.0 (one class is borderline A/A- and will depend on the final, others are solid A's). Kind of involved in Model UN (Duke's club doesn't do much) and have been doing community service through the Duke-Durham partnership.

You could get into UVa, and tougher schools too, I'm willing to wager...

I second ecape's remark. You are a shoe in at UVa, and have a good shot at others. Why are you leaving duke?

Ok, it's good to know I can get into UVA, I was a bit concerned about a lack of college ECs. I'm interested in Georgetown and UChicago too, but would only go to either of those if I got aid or a scholarship of some sort, which is doubtful as a transfer.

My reasons for leaving Duke are a bit complicated. For one thing I haven't made that many new friends. I mean, I get along well with the people in my classes, but almost never see them outside of class. My hallmates are mostly friends with my roommate. I don't know if I would call myself really lonely, but it gets to me at times.

Secondly, I received no financial aid from Duke, so my parents are paying all of my tuition, save a $1000 corporate NM scholarship. They don't complain to me but I know it is a major financial strain on them. I overheard a comment from my dad about how they are barely making it from month to month because of my tuition. I don't want my parents to struggle because of me, and if I'm not that happy at Duke, I don't think it's worth paying close to 4x the tuition of UVA.

And no, I haven't discussed this with my parents; they would probably tell me to stay at Duke. I love the classes here and was really looking forward to taking certain ones that are higher up in my planned major, but again, I don't want to be such a burden. I have no idea if I would be any happier at UVA, but at least it's a lot cheaper.

def talk it over with your parents. But I think you are def a shoe-in at UVA. I'm thinking of transferring there myself, and I am going to struggle to have a 3.5 GPA at W&M.
