<p>Awards:AP Scholar with distinction,honor roll all 4 years, Academic letter</p>

<p>Taken 11 APs including senior year(6 without).</p>

<p>I also have an upward trend on my GPA
Freshman:3.8
sophomore:3.97
Junior:4.21
My senior GPA for first semester is around a 4.4.
Lastly I am Instate(Northern VA)</p>

<p>My freshman GPA kinda sets me back but I am a way better student now and I was wondering if UVA will consider that?</p>

<p>I agree with SBlizzard, your chances of admission are great! With good essays to back up your good academics, you’ll be more than a qualified applicant for UVa!</p>

<p>Jake- You’ll be fine! Don’t stress too much. Make sure you apply to your safeties and be extremely creative with your essays (UVA digs creativity, and if you want to see my essay I’ll show you) and you should get in no problem.</p>

<p>I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in, especially considering you are in-state! UVA really places importance on course rigor, not necessarly getting all As.</p>
