UVa Class of 2009!

what star?

Hey JMIONE1 , whats your name?

yeah i'm doing old dorms, and yes i want to do a sorority

For engineering, which dorms would be good? The new ones? or old? I reallly want new ones.

umm i heard old dorms are most centrally located for engineering students, but im sure either are good. why do you want old dorms so badly?

i want new dorms. Those are better than old ones.

i want old dorms because they are said to have more "preppy" or frat type people; the kind of person I am.

i wanna get in uva....

my cousin is a junior at CHS...

Whats his name?

she.. jessica carson..

i liked both dorm areas...i was not aware that we actually get to choose....i actually don't like the idea that one set is considered more "preppy" than the other set of dorms....i hope they just randomly assign dorms this year and that there not a distinction between the 2 as far as what kind of people live in specific dorms

does anyone know anything about orientation in the summer. It looks like it will be 2 days and I am wondering if we stay in the dorms. Guess we will get that info in April.

hey guys! i got accepted early decision as well. im from new york and im interested in government or economics. and i want to be in the old dorms too.

just wished to share with u a stats. a friend got in with a 1220 sat score but 4.6 gpa. just goes to show that uva is alll about gpa. sat only comes when they consider echols and rodman scholars

The people who got in ED from my school all had under 1300. Their scores ranged from 1170 to 1290...but all four of them were in the top 6-7%. GPA and class rank probably are the most important factors for instate applicants, and the average instate SAT is in the mid to high 1200's.

UVa not necessarily considers just the GPA. People in my school who got into early decision had lower GPA than 3.5. Still they got in. I think it considers overall student personality, it also considers extracirricular activites, significant awards, special skills, and essays.
