UVA, Duke, UPenn. Give me the hard truth please

Hey, it would really help me get an idea of how I am doing in terms of my chances of getting accepted into UVA, Duke or UPenn.
I'm currently a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Tech. MOST competitive high school nationally.

Expected good recs

The high school I come from is a magnet school in northern VA, in which all classes are honors. (It's a tough school!)

If I left out any key information please tell me! My parents are saying that if I don't get at least a 2200 on the SATs, I wouldnt be able to get in. Thanks

UVA = Match

Penn and DUke are fantastic reaches.

Your unweighted GPA is very good, but it's not good that your weighted GPA is only .04 higher. Your PSAT status means nothing, and the 580 and 630 on Writing and CR are just way too low. ECs seem to be incredibly ordinary, and you don't even seem to have leadership positions. Penn and Duke are both big reaches.

thanks! and if I apply to UVA early decision, does that drasitically increase my chances?

saying you're from tj can only bring so much to the table; there's a point where you need to get acceptable test scores and need to show that you stand out among applicants. uva is fine, i can't tell for duke, and penn isn't compatible with what you present now. fix scores, add add some spice to your application, and hope for the best.
