UVa + Duke?

Hi, over the summer I visited both UVa and Duke and really loved both of the schools, and I was wondering how likely it is that I could get into either school? I’m from Illinois, and I’d really appreciate some insight on my chances because the idea of college apps is already starting to get to me. Thanks!

-GPA: Unweighted 3.7, Weighted 4.7
-AP Classes: AP Human Geography (4 on test), APUSH (5 on test), AP Gov (TBD), AP French (TBD)
-all of my classes are honors except for my gym classes
-I’m a part of National Honor Society, Vice President of a current events club at my school, and co-president of female leadership club.
-I haven’t gotten my SAT score yet, but I got 95th percentile on PSAT
-I have around 400 service hours

What do you want to study?

Duke is a reach for OOS and without a ton of EC’s, but if you’re not applying for engineering your chances are a little better. UVA ranges from low reach to a target school, depending on what your SAT ends up being and whether you demonstrated interest (i.e. campus visit).
