Accepted, OOS, 1570, rank: 4/200. Please don’t feel bad if you weren’t accepted. One school is not a reflection of how you will do in the whole process.

Accepted!!! International student from the UK

Test optional
Equivalent of a 4.0 UW GPA on my school’s most rigorous curriculum(9999988777 at GCSE, predicted 4 A*s at A-level)

Definitely think it was my essays that got me in though. My UVA supplements were, imo, the best of all the schools I applied to

My daughter was accepted
OOS
4.0 UW
1500 SAT
ECs include a lot of theater, choir, student council, honor societies, community service.

Looking at the responses here, there are so many impressive kids who were accepted, deferred, and denied. You should be proud of yourselves regardless. I’m sure you’ll achieve great things wherever you end up!

Where did it say you were a scholar

If you were selected, there would be a message right below the Forms section on the main page of your portal that says:

“Congratulations! You have been selected as an Echols Scholar! Your application demonstrated a clear commitment to the life of the mind and an inclination to bring that scholarly perspective to all you do, and we feel you have much to add to our community of scholars…” Yada yada yada.

Hope this helps!
