If awarded a scholarship through UVA, is that renewable each year? Sorry if this was discussed, I’m still unclear.
Will the scholarship from the College of Arts and Science be on top of whatever scholarship you get from AccessUVA given by the financial aid offer during admission or will your total scholarship still be determined by the FAFSA need? Thank you!
My daughter was admitted in this EA round.
It’s such a fantastic university.
I wish everyone the best.
Great question. You should probably ask your question on Dean J’s blog
Hey there…financial aid questions need to be directed to SFS. I have zero access to aid information.
Sorry about that! Thank you!!
Have any of you received your mailers yet?
Nothing here!
Nada!
Just received in today’s mail. (We live in NoVA)
Received today live in Pennsylvania
Ours arrived yesterday. Weirdly enough, it was the lone piece of mail we got.
what’s included in the mail? I haven’t gotten anything yet
I’m also wondering this
A letter, some stickers and a catalog like book.
My daughter’s packet contained a letter of acceptance, a separate one about Echols, and a marketing booklet plus school stickers. It arrived today in south east PA.
Anyone committing to UVA?
Quick Question… I tried finding a UVA RD page, but I wasn’t able to. My DD was deferred EA and resubmitted RD, and now she is constantly receiving text messages and emails to submit her FAFSA. Everything was submitted November 1, and UVA remains on the FAFSA because I wasn’t able to confirm they ever downloaded it. Anyways, is this just standard blast email notifications or do you think there is a problem? Anyone else in the say exact boat or has a RD application in. The CIS has no updates.
Trying to work out a visit and to find a student to talk to. Really tough in this setting but understandable.
Does anyone know what is and isn’t open there? Do not want to step on any toes or break any rules. Only 1 of us will be fully vaccinated so we are super careful and don’t go out as it is but can’t make decisions without visits.
On and off campus students are on lockdown until February 26th with re-evaluation after that. Libraries and gyms are closed during lockdown. Students are advised to remain in dorm unless going to class, getting food, exercising outdoors (“essential only”). We visited in September and it was very closed (we had been warned) but it is much more so right now. I would presume no chance to go in any buildings and even talking to students may be difficult (we didn’t see very many even on the lawn - doors were closed). It will be very difficult to get a feel for it right now. It was a dramatic contrast to when I visited with my oldest which was during club draft day on the lawn, we had a fantastic tour, etc. It is so hard to make a decision without a visit. My son will decide in April I am certain and hopefully we can see some things then.
