I saw that the EA deadline has been moved to Nov 4.

My application is done, but I have not yet requested The College Board and ACT send my standardized test score reports to UVA.

I have already taken all required tests, and my scores are on my HS transcript and self- reported on the Common App, but the score reports from the testing agencies won't be there by the Nov 4 deadline.

So, my question is - for EA, do my score reports need to be RECEIVED by UVA by the Nov 4 deadline, or is it ok if my application is in by then but my score reports are received later?

(Most schools do NOT require that score reports be received by the deadline.)

Thanks tresixchick, but I don’t think that answers the question.

It talks about sending in SATIIs, which are recommended but not required, after the deadline.

I sent the link so you would be able to see the SAT info that says it can take up to 5 weeks. It also explains that EA review goes into January…

"Will November scores arrive “in time” for early action?
I can’t guarantee that we won’t have looked at your file between deadline and November 20th, when scores from the November 3rd SAT/SATII are going to arrive. However, the EA review goes into January, so I think you should still send your scores. "

Also my “UVA and You” viewbook says that transcripts, school reports and teacher recs need to be postmarked by the deadline. It doesn’t say that is the case for scores, but the link says that October is the last recommended test date for early action. I guess I’m just saying that all you can really do at this point is send them in ASAP and hope they arrive before they start reading your file.

You could always call the Admissions Office for more clarity.

What are you waiting on, OP?

It could not be more clearly stated right on UVa’s webpage. Every deadline for application and supporting documents is listed here:

[Admission Instructions | Office of Undergraduate Admission](http://www.admission.virginia.edu/admission/instructions)

I would assume since the EA application date has been moved to 11/4 that would apply for Standardized Test Scores as well. Obviously UVa is trying to work with students who have been impacted by Sandy. The key here is intended effort. Taking advantage of an extended date and good will because you didn’t bother to look up the deadline…I’m not going to comment on that one.
