Thank god I was accepted b.c. the Chinese Spring Festival is coming… It would be terrible if I have to celebrate the Chinese New Year without any offer…Anyway, good luck to all that are deferred or rejected.</p>

<p>DS Deferred SEAS - 2140 SAT; 4.0gpa; leadership roles on several clubs; won thousands of dollars in prizes for HS in regional competitions; taught students at parks & rec center year-round for two years; full time summer job as programmer. Nominated by faculty for most prestigous award at HS. Instate and legacy. I’m disappointed but he’s not. He likes the other colleges that have accepted him.</p>

I took the december Chemistry and got a 790.
I have all A’s senior year (upward trend).</p>

<p>With A’s on my report card, and a 790 on chem, will this be enough to get me in? <em>hope so</em>

ACCEPTED! so blessed. thought i would have gotten deferred, and for those who got rejected/deferred, you guys will succeed wherever you go!</p>

<p>S accepted. OOS - 1500 (760,740,760) , 790 and 740 SAT twos , national Merit semi(not sure if that matters?)…prep school… so doesn’t rank, but top of class. lots of leadership He’s very happy. Those of you rejected/ deferred. Hang in there! My husband was rejected (years ago!). He was a very strong student an an athlete. it was his first choice. He ended up at a great school- better fit ( met me:)) and loved his college experience. It all works out. UVA based on the number of super strong applicants has become a lottery school, similar to an Ivy. You will all have great choices.</p>

<p>35 act 2270 sat 7 5’s on my ap exams. Sat subject math 2 800 Chem 790 Spanish 800 world history 780 us history 760 bio 720. Hard course load (taking organic chem, differential equations, multivariable calculus). 93.5 gpa on 100 pt scale (upward trend). Varsity football, varsity swimming captain, some music stuff, national merit semifinalist

<p>I got deferred :/. It was my top choice. Oh well, at least it’s not a denial.</p>

<p>3.95 weighted first three years (3.55 freshman year, 4.2 sophomore, 4.2 junior, and 4.5 1st quarter senior). 1950 on SAT. In State. Worked at one job for 4 years (Since 08). Got internship last summer for making iPad apps. SEAS.</p>
