Deferred OOS. 4.26 weighted GPA, 1500 SAT.
Defer OOS, 4.3 weighted (3.7ish unweighted-- probably why i got deferred lol), 1530 SAT, pretty good essays, legacy. it’s okay tho! Congrats everyone!
Forgot to add that S took 4 IBs Jr. year and 5 this year. 3 HL
Deferred in-state. 1400 SAT. 4.1 Weighted GPA
Rejected OOS. 3.9 gpa and 1540 ss sat. applying to school of commerce.
Oh yeah also legacy and URM
@boringasian actually one applies to the college first and then has to apply during sophomore year to be in the School of Commerce for 3rd year. I am sure you will get many other great acceptances! Good luck
I love the holistic review process. As someone who doesn’t believe that my test scores represent me as a person on an application, I believe in UVA’s review system. (Dean J’s blog tell’s all.) I didn’t necessarily test low, but I didn’t necessarily test what is considered high among everyone else. And I’m not saying this because I got in. I have gotten in to other schools with less holistic review systems. But there are many other factors to consider besides GPA and scores. This is a pleasant and wonderful acceptance. Definitely a top for me. OOS Acceptance.
I have not yet received an email about the updated SIS page. Has anyone else had this problem?
you don’t get an email @hurley1
Denied. OOS, 4.37 weighted gpa, 31 ACT, 6 APs rest honors
Thanks for letting me know. I was confused about that.
deferred oos, 34 ACT 1550 SAT (800 math, 750 reading). 3.75 UW 4.8 W. AMAZING supplements, pretty good essay on leadership, tons and tons of ECs/leadership roles, i take the hardest classes my school offers including full time IB diploma candidate with 4 HLs. just sucks because this is the only school i like that offers my major and if i do get in RD there’s no way i could afford it (don’t qualify for much financial aid). really hurts to think about
Anyone know where to find the financial aid info if you’re accepted?
Rejected oos 35act 4.0uw. 4.4w. Lots of the usual ec.
Anyone know what percent of students get deferred?
D accepted OOS 34 ACT 10 AP’s 4.75 GPA. Congratulations to everyone who got good news today and hang in there to those of you that didn’t get the answer you hoped for.
Deferred OOS. My test scores weren’t the best- 1400 SAT, but I was in the top 7 at my school with amazing extra curriculars (I have an art business, interned at the city hall in Spain during my summer abroad, president of several clubs). I think I had great essays and I also took every AP and Honors class offered, and then some, because I dropped a fine art to take another AP class. I am so disappointed and confused.
Accepted! In state.
My twin sons Rejected OOS, first gen, all A’s (GPAs over 4 just not sure), ACT 33 and 1420, public high school, multiple APs and sports, one a captain. Mom a little sad
