UVA Early Action Applicants Thread

Glad to hear we’re not the only ones still waiting in NOVA. Kind of ridiculous.

Nothing in our NoVA mailbox today either.

Nothing in Texas yet either! Maybe tomorrow!

Same here. Nothing today in mail – NOVA. Another day of waiting

D got packet today in TN

Got my packet in CT!

Daughter received packet in Raleigh today.

Got packet in TN!

Packet in mailbox today in Texas!

Y’all in NOVA haven’t gotten it yet??? I know people from SOVA (is that allowed? for southern virginia?) and central VA have already gotten it. They’re all waiting for Echols/Rodman. Which I am unsure when it will be coming out.

Are Echols/Rodman emailed or mailed?

@MayBlvyMomma My son was also accepted to UNC EA. He received an Excel invite, but no $$. I just can’t imagine turning away merit aid of that magnitude. I would chart out the costs for your dau., including loan amounts etc.

@ashto12 The packet was received in FF County Wednesday. It was a formal acceptance letter and a small marketing type brochure. There is no info in the packet. I guess that comes at DOTL.

@VAMom23 Thanks for the warning, we were hoping for something more fun! Stickers are always nice, why no stickers?!?!

Bruh where are our packets in NOVA? I’m not at home right now so obviously I can’t check!

Anyone care to tell me what we get in the packet though? Do we get stickers or a printed acceptance letter or something?

@savagestudent7 An acceptance letter and an informational pamphlet.

Still no packet in MD today. Would expect it to get here sooner coming from 3 hours away. It is helpful to know from those of you who have already received theirs that it is the acceptance letter, not scholars notification .

@MayBIvyMomma Similar situation here. D getting some hard press love from schools who have already accepted her. Would love to see her at UVA but if another makes her love them, then good outreach on their part.

As for a full ride at UNC or UVA without merit funds-unless you are from NC, in my entirely biased opinion (UVA family but lived in NC), UVA offers a more global experience. Both great schools and if you need to watch your pennies, she won’t go wrong at UNC.

@dowzerw I really appreciate your input. We truly LOVE both schools. Our oldest daughter attended UNC as OOS and LOVED it. I think this D is just a little surprised at the full court press from UNC and no word at all from UVA. Both schools are amazing and we know we are blessed to have this dilima. Worried it may get even more complicated on Ivy Day! (bitting my nails)

Best of luck to your D. It sounds like she is got some great options as well. Stay in touch. I would love to know where she lands.

My D received her packet today but she is not home yet so she hasn’t opened it yet. Just wondering would Echols invite be included in acceptance packet or is it a separate mailing?
