Please give me an honest chance! I just want to know what to expect on April 1st. Please give me your most honest response.

Junior year I took 4 Ap s and this year I'm taking 5 Ap classes. My gpa is the way it is because of my middle school high school courses and freshmen year. I got two b's in middle school and then two b's in freshmen year. I got straight A's my sophomore year and a b in apush last year. This year I have a 5.0/5.0 with straight A's.

Extracurricular: I have been playing an instrument since I was 6. I do swimming and tennis and have done them for almost 7 years. I have many leadership positions including Editor in Chief of my yearbook, officer on the student council, varsity tennis captain, leader in my youth group, and a few other positions out of senior year. I'm in 4 honor societies and a two clubs for all four years of high school. I also do a lot of volunteer work.

Essays: I thought they were good. One of them was kind of risky but my teachers thought it was a good risk!

Recommendations: I got two. One was from someone who went to the school and was very good and the other was also very good even saying if she was able to have a daughter, she would want her to be like me. My guidance counselor has know me forever so I think she said something good.

My Gpa is good but not the highest out there but it's been a very big upward trend. I've imporved A LOT!

Well academically you are a little below average due to your GPA and test scores. However you do have very good clubs and leadership positions, as well as being instate. high match.

Your ECs show consistency and leadership. Your GPA and ACTs don’t matter as much with a school like this, when you have such ECs. I would agree with sloth83, high match. This means it is a match, but close to a reach. Try to improve relations with the school somehow for a stronger match, and make sure you have a safety. Good luck!

all of these commentators are so ignorant about this school…ive researched UVA for the past 6 years and they value your GPA much more than your SAT. So in terms of your GPA, you are quite alright. In fact, you have a high chance of getting in just because of the fact that you are instate. and from experience what i have noticed is that the higher ranked schools are harder for you to get into UVA cuz of the competition. I go to an unranked HIgh School so that helps a bit. Lastly, UVA is kinda random about who they select but what usually remains consistent is their preference for ECs and GPA. If you have a Blackboard then go to Family Connection > colleges > scattergrams > enter the school and see where you stand in comparison to other students in your school from past years. That should give you a fair idea of whether you have a feasible shot at UVA

The first guy is crazy if he thinks 4.3 is below average(even for UVA). I think your definitely in man don’t worry My friends who got accepted early action had lower gpas than you around the same test scores and worse Ec’s and they got in.

@Jake11 it’s out of 5 though even though no one has a chance of getting a 5 unless all your classes were weighted. 4/5 b’s I’ve gotten was in middle schools and freshman year. I just hope they see i increased a lot since then!
