It told me I have no application for admission. Anyone else?
That’s because you probably don’t have a check mark yet to “view decision” on SIS. You probably have a green circle.
@CudleWudles you dont have the check yet do you?
I’ll email IT about this, but I have to put it out there that your files wouldn’t be getting read by 4 or 5 different people, so I’m not sure how much stock to put in this. As I wrote pages back, we read and make decisions in a different system and then a final decision is loaded into SIS at the end. The IT folks handle the decision release because they have to run a few scripts to make it all happen.
Anyway, I know the transfer team is working hard to finish their review and finalize decisions. Keep an eye on the transfer blog for updates.
@“Dean J” Presumably though that would imply you load said decisions in as they are made?
Also, the system that loads the data into SIS is just “sisuvacs”, so that’s the only distinction. Regardless, I think whomever in IT deals with the “hiding” of decisions just doesn’t properly hide them.
Whatever the case, if you or whomever wants to see how it’s found, as is, then feel free to message me. I imagine it’ll be patched before the Fall, so I won’t get to use it again anyway.
looks like its been fixed! you can no longer see anything
I mean. We all saw it tho hahahahaha
Yay! I can’t see my rejection anymore hahahaha!
@UVAfan23 I mean, yeah, but you don’t hurriedly fix something that isn’t accurate.
In all seriousness, I should’ve just not posted this on an open forum. Oh well!
Probably 100 more ways into finding the decisions anyway so someone with more time than I will find it eventually.
@LaVolpe 1. I think whether or not its accurate, its ITs job to keep that kind of stuff hidden…so it is natural that upon receiving an email from a dean, they would repair it, no?
@backinthehunt Surely so, but that would invite the question of what possible cause there could be for that information to not be valid.
@LaVolpe true. Especially considering that on the blog, Dean J always comes right out and clears the air, like for example “the green checkmark means nothing”. They should reconsider your app for cracking this.
@backinthehunt Now that’s a good idea if I’ve ever heard one.
@“Dean J” I’m sure you approve? (joking, please don’t hurt me)
I mean whether this was a glitch or what not and gave out random answers we surely won’t be 100% sure so let’s just wait those two weeks and find out for certain. Then freak out. Haha
@snp2896 oh how I love your positivity for the sake of those, like me, who got rejected lol. You’re seriously a sweetheart lol. Kinda hope it was a glitch, but then that would make me selfish for those who got accepted. #UVA2017? Lol
@UVAfan23 You go to NVCC, right? (I do as well.) Why don’t you just do the guaranteed agreement? then you wouldn’t have to worry this much.
@Jouuuu that was my original plan, back in 2008 haha. I feel like at this point I’ve screwed up too many classes and flip flopped around that it would take me a good 2 years from now to do the guaranteed agreement. Although I could be wrong, I haven’t talked to my advisor about that. What campus do u go to?
Funny how I was waitlisted the first time around with a mere 3.4 and a 1.7 HS GPA. Ugh. So depressing lol.
Thanks @UVAfan23 just being honest tho lol and it is rather weird if you got waitlisted back then and just rejected this time (if the glitch wasn’t a glitch)
Yeah I thought I had a fair shot. Not OMG I’M DEFINITELY IN! But, you know, fair. They tore my heart out and ripped it haha jk. I still love UVA. Text me and I’ll be happy to show you my entire application and even my essays. I thought maybe that was going to sell me, but guess not @snp2896
